GOOAHEAD ACTIVITIES
GOOAHEAD is highly involved in sensitization and surveillance and actively participates in major environmental celebrations like the World Environment Day and brings substantial inputs to environmental and agricultural reports from NGOs and the government.
GOOAHEAD has published a series of four books on environmental education aimed at boosting the ambitious vision of GOOAHEAD ‘Our 2020 Environmental Vision for Africa: Environmental Education for All’. The books include:
- ‘Environmental Education for All in Africa -1-: Deforestation, Loss of Biodiversity, Global Warming.’
- ‘Environmental Education for All in Africa -1I-: Soil Degradation, Water Degradation.’
- ‘Environmental Education for All in Africa -1II-: Air Pollution, Pollution by Microwaves, Depletion of Ozone Layer.’
- ‘Environmental Education for All in Africa -1V-: Sustainable Management of Resources, Ethical and Technical Framework of Environmental Management and Assessment.’
The Executive Director of GOOAHEAD has published a number of articles include those published in Echos du Nde, such as "Protégeons Notre Environnement" (let us preserve our environment), "Introduction À La Page Agricole" (introduction to the Agricultural page), Agricultural Practices And Environmental Conservation In Nde, and La Gestion Des Terres Humides Pour La Conservation De l’Eau Et De La Biodiversité Et Pour Le Développement Agricole Dans Le Méhdúhmbà (Wetland Management for the Conservation of Water and Biodiversity and for the Development of Agriculture in Nde). Also, in early 2005, he published with his consultancy mate and co-author Ekpe Inyang "The Vicious Circle Of The Evolutionary Concept Of Development In Africa" in the Post.
GOOAHEAD has actively participated in the conception of the Forest and Environment Governance Handbook for Mount Cameroon Biodiversity Hotspot and Southern Bakudu Forest Reserve in the framework of Forest Governance Facility project.
GOOAHEAD produces sensitization and educational flyers during environmental celebration events and compensate pupils who took part in the environmental quiz. You can download files by clicking on the links below.
